Jeanine Rother, a virus research professional at Panda Software stated that there is a risk that people will open the document even after being warned not to open email attachments from unknown senders because they want to know more about bird flu. "Using the bird flu is a very clever way of drawing attention and enticing those PC users less knowledgeable or concerned about security to open the attachment," she said.

They also noted that the drug has seen an increased demand since the rumors of a pandemic started.

Bird Flu: Swedes May Have Identified It Too

[The News Blog@i66.com] The Swedes have found a duck dead in their country which they believe has been killed by avian bird flu, but at the moment they’re not certain if it’s the H5N1 strain: SkyNews Sweden’s National Veterinary Institute said a duck found dead east of the capital has tested positive for avian flu. The ablility of H5N1 to kill otherwise healthy young people is similar to the very lethal 1918 pandemic strain of influenza but quite different from the milder pandemics of 1957 and 1968.
